C&D has undertaken works in Selfridges & Co, Oxford Street store for the last few years. Works have been in conjunction with an electrical upgrade package and have included:

The creation of new Switchrooms

Diamond drilling for service penetrations

The creation of New Riser rooms

The creation of New Stock rooms

Our client, working in a high-end department store
in London, was contracted in the replacement of existing switchgear and distribution services that supplied till services and emergency lighting across the whole building. 

Supply for the new electrical equipment had to be

installed across five floors by utilising two busbars and creating a route through an existing shaft which required a major renovation. On every floor, a 2-hour fire-rated riser was formed around the existing shaft. To successfully create the riser, extensive yet sensitive building work was required, including structural steelwork, core drilling and temporary and permanent fire separation to provide a space for the new busbars, switchgear and electrical distribution through all floors. This presented both logistical and access challenges due to live legacy services still in operation within the work areas. 

C&D were contracted by Logan Construction to undertake groundworks and drainage in 2 courtyards in Croydon University Hospital. 

The groundworks for this project, which were especially complicated regarding the structural engineer’s designs, connecting to historical drainage installations dating back to 1885, and the logistics for bringing in concrete via a cul-de-sac within the hospital grounds, and then having to pump over two 3 storey high occupied hospital buildings into confined courtyard enclosures. Th works were planned methodically, with due consideration to health & safety, and executed impeccably by our site team in conjunction with the Logan Construction site team..

C&D were contracted by Inside LTD to undertake various works in Altius House, Milton Keynes.

Works included stripping out the 9000 sq ft 2nd floor for a CAT A refurb while the rest of the building was occupied, with strict noise and waste removal restrictions in place.

Part of the ground floor was also stripped out. 

External works were carried out to allow for new airconditioning ducts, which included trenching and the installation of concrete slabs.  A substantial area of paving was also replaced by C&D.

C&D were contracted by Stirling Grey to create a new base for the new Cryotherapy Unit for St. Georges Park, the home of English Football.

Works had to be phased with the client to allow for a seamless delivery. Works included excavating for base, shuttering and pouring of concrete, relaying of exisitng paving slabs to allow for vehicular traffic.

These projects included:

Strip out on the 2nd Floor for the New Shower Hub

Strip out on the 28th floor to allow for the floor to be split into two units.

Creation of new  opening through stair core using Cut'N'Break saw.
